Mid-Year Showcase: 20 to 20
Mid-Year Showcase will be a party at the studio, punctuated by pop-up group performances by our staff and students. Save-the-date: Sunday 27th June!
The theme this year is 20 to 20: a Decades Dance-Off. Each performance will feature a medley of iconic tunes and theme songs hailing from or representing a decade between the 1920's and 2020's. There will be one group student routine/performance per apparatus, that will be mixed level with something for everyone and opportunities for short cameos (for those keen on solos). There will also be an instructor-based multi-apparatus opening show.
The student performer Mid-Year Showcase routine workshops are now ready to book - in these workshops, open to any current student with at least 1 term of their chosen apparatus under their belt, you'll learn the combos and choreography for the show. You can join these workshops even if you're not interested in performing. After the workshop(s), if you'd like to sign up to perform, there will be several instructor-led rehearsals, Showcase specific open group practice times and there will also be opportunity for private tuition.

We highly recommend you do a private lesson with one of our instructors in the weeks before the shoot to pinpoint and practice your chosen poses to get the most out of your shoot.
End-Of-Year Showcase 2021
This End-Of-Year Showcase will be our first at a large seated venue with a stage!
This showcase will run as a mock competition. We wanted our students to get an experience that falls between that of our in-house studio showcases and entering a state or national competition, as that can feel like a big jump. We also wanted to showcase solos and group performances separately as demand for performance opportunities has grown with our studio community. So groups will perform in our mid-year showcase and solos will perform at the end-of-year showcase.
Our students will create a routine and film an entry video, they will apply/enter via our website (entry open and close date TBC) and then will (if selected) perform their piece on the big stage! Students will not be scored against each other, but they will receive constructive feedback from expert industry judges. We will have prize sponsors who will choose a "winner" as the best representative of the night for each brand/sponsor's prize based on their brand's aesthetic, values and/or goals.
We will announce further End-Of-Year Showcase details (like venue, tickets and entry details) closer to the date - but block out the 16th of October in your calendars!
